These 500mL distilling flasks are used for the distillation of bituminous materials suitable for road treatment. They are also used in the Standard Method of Test for the Distillation of Creosote Oil, American Wood Preservers Association, method 11e, Barrett method C 9, American Association of State Highway Officials, methods T 52 and T 62. Flasks take a #5 rubber stopper.

This flask is similar to #4063-02, except that it has 3 reference lines for use with the Haage automatic distillation apparatus or any apparatus requiring 3 thermometer insertion points. This flask in in conformance with CL A requirements as referenced in ASTM E438.
