Arsenic Limit Test Apparatus
This apparatus is used for limit test for arsenic as depicted in European Pharmacopeia , 1997. The complete apparatus consists of a 125 ml conical flask with 24/40 outer joint, Capillary chimney tube with 24/40 inner and pulled tip, adapter tube, keck clamp, and springs (2) supplied. /Asset/3705.jpgEssential Oil Distillation Apparatus
(3)This Essential Oil Distiller is made from high quality borosilicate glass and is designed for steam extraction of essential oils from plant materials.
By using our threaded system you can say "goodbye" to messy joint grease, tubing and rubber stoppers. The only material that comes in contact with your materials is borosilicate glass and PTFE plastic. PTFE is a clean and nonstick material used to handle materials across many industries and is inert to practically everything it comes in contact with.
Our system takes advantage of an open to atmosphere design so that steam pressure never builds up within the system. This makes the process much safer to operate. The vertical design keeps the biomass flask dry and it uses separate flask for boiling which means that over heating or burning your plant materials will never happen. The filter traps up to 20mL of "heavier than water" or "lighter than water" oils and automatically drains excess condensed water. This allows you to start distillation and proceeds on its own without the need of your constant attention.
When distillation is complete, this apparatus doubles as a tapered separatory funnel so you can separate your oil from the remaining (Hydrosol) water.

• Only Borosilicate glass and PTFE come into contact with your materials.
Complete System includes:
• All Glassware
• Fittings
• Stand
Available Accessories:
• 8036-00 Digital Temp Probe
• 6795-40 Heating Mantle

Pelican Distillation Apparatus
(6)The Pelican is circulatory distillation system with a vessel with two side arms that feed condensed vapor back into the vessel body. The Alembic collects product and the design drains product completely through the angled side arm for collection
- GL Threaded connections make the apparatus more accessable. There is no need for joint grease.
- Easy to safely assemble and disassemble the apparatus
- Purex GLass
- PTFE Connections
Short Path Distillation Apparatus
Our Short Path Distillation glassware can be used to extract high concentrations of organic biomass from floral and plant materials.
NDS provides this kit as a "plug and play" system and it comes with everything the user would need in order to set up in conjunction with a vacuum and chiller. We also sell all of our glassware separately making it easier to reorder only the parts you need.
All the glassware included in this kit is high quality borosilicate glass using either pyrex or schott glass and comes with a certificate of compliance. Our products are properly made to withstand high temperatures that ensure the safest operation possible.
We are located in Vineland, New Jersey, USA and all of our glassware is handmade by some of the worlds best scientific glassblowers. We manufacture all of our products so you don’t have to worry about us being "out of stock" because we already have it in our inventory.
Falling Film Molecular Still
The still is designed for safe distillation of heat-sensitive compounds. The material to be distilled is allowed to slowly drop over the center spiral finger which is heated by the reflux vapor from the lower flask [D] for a brief period of time. This avoids decomposition from long term exposure to heat.
Refluxing vapor is used, so no localized heating occurs which eliminates the need for temperature regulating equipment. The desired temperature is determined by the boiling point of the refluxing solvent. This apparatus can be used at atmospheric or reduced pressure and has been used extensively for degassing of viscous liquids, distilling high molecular weight esters, hydrocarbons, silicones, deodorizing oils, and distilling heat sensitive compounds.
This system is made exactly to the original design specifications suggested by Dr. Donald Canham, of Montana State College. Initially manufactured by Kontes item #285600.
System Operation:
A. Flask [D] is filled with the solvent desired and heated to reflux. The boiling solvent vapor maintains a constant temperature at the center spiral finger.
B. Material to be distilled is placed in the addition funnel and adjusted to slowly rip onto the heated center spiral finger. The volatilized material will condense on the air cooled outer wall and collects in flask [E2]. The high boiling material will remain on the center spiral finger and flow down into flask [E1].
