(5)Cylindrical Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis vessel features top and bottom valves, a GL-18 threaded side port, a 2 mm PTFE valve and a sealed-in, coarse porosity fritted disc. The fritted disc is positioned so that there is a minimum amount of dead space. The GL-32, threaded top cap includes a PTFE-faced liner. Breakage of glass stopcock arms is eliminated by the PTFE construction of the stems and the valves only require a 1/4-turn from fully closed to fully open. The valve stems have 1/4-28 threads on the IDs and the ODs are sized for 3/8" compression fittings. All wetted surfaces are PTFE or borosillicate glass.

The coarse fritted disc is easily removed from the PTFE adapter for cleaning and / or replacement; dead space below the frit is eliminated by this design. Breakage of glass stopcock arms is also eliminated by the PTFE construction of the stems and the valve only requires a 1/4-turn from fully closed to fully open.
