Pestle, Glass, Dounce
(10)This style tissue homogenizer is for cellular work where the nucleus remains intact after homogenization. These pestles are designed to be used with NDS Tissue Grinders.

(4) Designed for hand operation but can be motor driven by inserting a steel rod into the rubber stopper with a hole and inserted into the stopper joint in the pestle. Stoppers are not supplied. Clearance between pestle and tube 0.004 to 0.006" /Asset/8054-2.jpgPestle, Dual Purpose, All-Glass
(3)This tissue grinder is improved from the 8058-SERIES. This product combines both conical and cylindrical surfaces on a single pestle and tube. Because of the separation, both areas perform the dual functions of grinding in the conical area and final homogenization in the cylindrical area.
A PTFE and rubber-lined phenolic screw cap allows centrifugation and/or storage of homogenates without transfer.
The clearance between the pestles and tubes is 0.004" to 0.006"

(6)This style homogenizer combines both a conical and cylindrical grinding surface. Tissue is forced up the conical section as the pestle is bottomed in the tube forcing the homogenate up to the cylindrical section. Grinding efficiency is greatly improved over other tissue grinders. PTFE model is ideal for soft tissues such as brain or liver. Pestle is made of heavy wall tubing allowing for motorized operation. Clearance between tube and pestle is .004" to .006"

(4)This tissue grinder can serve as a storage vessel after homogenization. Without transferring, centrifugation, concentrations, and lyophilization can be done. Heavy wall construction and made with a flat base so the tube can stand upright. The Capacities listed are shown without the pestle.
• Pestle clearance is between 0.004" and 0.006"
• Completes are supplied with a pestle, tube, and phenolic cap with a PTFE liner.
